  "BioCity; The Centre for Urban Habitats
is a multi-partnered research centre located within the University
of Adelaide. Its functions include delivering research information
to the general public and coordinating activities and information
exchange between its members. BioCity is also co-ordinating a
masters program in urban ecology located within the School of
Earth and Environmental Biology. These functions have required
state-of-the-art communications and the development of a wide
range of promotional materials. Within the last 18 months we
have developed a logo, produced a strategic plan, research center
proposal, annual report, promotional brochures for BioCity and
for the masters course, posters, banners, electronic survey forms,
letter-heads and email-heads, business cards and other forms
of signage.
To provide material to the general community and facilitate communication between our 150+ members, we needed a website. This website has both private and members only functionality, as well as electronic research surveys, and radio and video file formats. The site receives over 12,000 page views a month (www.biocity.edu.au). In addition we produced a book titled "Adelaide Nature of a City: The Ecology of a Dynamic City 1836-2036" which required a professional graphic designer and expert in manuscript layout. This incredible range of requirements would be daunting for even large firms. However, we got lucky. We contacted A7Designs (A7designs.com.au). They undertook all of these tasks in a professional, expert manner. All the products requested were beautifully designed and produced, and available within a short time frame, at reasonable cost. The website in particular is a brilliantly designed site capable of dealing with a large database and performing a wide range of tasks. Moreover, by dealing with the one firm, we obtained a consistent quality layout for all the materials, with matching designs, and themes, so that there is a continuity for our materials. The first Annual report and the book layout, are simply outstanding. Examples of these products are downloadable from the Biocity website. We at BioCity consider ourselves extremely

company worked with us to understand what we were about and produced
excellent material to support our organization. For a small company
to produce such a range of quality materials has been fantastic
